Happy New Year!!

I wanted to wish you all a very Happy, Healthy, Prosperous 2009...filled with time for family and of course Stampin!!

I also wanted to share with you a new item that the craft room now has. Of course I will be sharing it with all of the people that come to classes or workshops. My daughter Amanda and Son-In-Law Josh know how much I love popcorn so they decided I needed to share that love with my fellow stampers .....so for Christmas I received this shiny Red Popcorn Maker....hmmmm can you smell that popcorn - well you could if we had smellavision (is that a word?) Isn't this just too cool!!!

Tomorrow, I'm planning on posting some pictures of the cards/projects we will be making in January....stay tuned and Happy New Year!!

Sunday, December 28, 2008

Hello again,
I have been playing with my "preview" stamp sets from the new Stampin' Up! Catalog coming out January 19th. I wanted to do some tiles for a friend that is just getting things ready for their new bar so I thought this would be a great gift for them using the set called "Game Night"

This is a 6x6 tile that I used SU craft Ink and baked for 10 minutes then sprayed (several times) with an acrylic sealer. Want to make some of these for yourself or friends....sign up for my Tile class on Friday January 23rd.

Here are some coaster sized tiles I also made using the same stamp set "Game Night"...This would also be a great set to use for manly cards as somehow they don't always appreciate the flowers..

Happy Holidays

Here's hoping that you received all you wanted for Christmas and that you were able to spend time with family and friends.

We had the best time with our Grandson Jude...he really enjoyed the season and it was fun to watch him play in the large amount of Snow that fell right before Christmas. His uncle Brandon had a good time playing with him on the 4-wheeler until they got stuck in all of the snow...but that is what makes memories...Jude and I watching from the warm house while Uncle Brandon digs out the 4 wheeler...

I did get a chance to play with my new "sneak peek" stampsets from the New catalog coming out January 9th...I just love this "Buzzin By" stampset and it is sure to become one of my favorites...I cased (copy and share everything) this card from a very talented Stampin' Up! demonstrator Rhonda Griffin. You can check out her blog at http://www.thestampinbunny.blogspot.com/ Here are a couple of samples that I just couldn't resist in casing...

Christmas Card Class

This is one of the Christmas Cards we will be making on Friday September 5th....I still have a couple of spots available so if you're interested please let me know. This card was made using the "Merry & Bright" stamp set. I just love this little snowman. The little bulb part of the card comes off the base and you can hang it on your tree....cool huh!!

Enjoy,

Michelle

Doodle Flower

This is my take at a card I saw on the web, they had it as a Christmas card which was really pretty but since I don't have my new Christmas papers yet :o( I decided to turn it into a Thank you card. I did use the new Stampin Up In Colors, Kiwi Kiss for the base and Pink Pirouette and Chocolate Chip as layers. The flower is stamped on Vellum Cardstock using the "Doodle This" stamp set. I cut out two flowers and daubbed on Pink Pirouette and Red Riding Hood to give it some color...used dimensionals to pop it up a little and Voila, a little thank you to send out!!

Enjoy,

Michelle

FreshCut Candle Holder

I found this great idea on the web, can't remember who's post it was from....if you see this and it was you please let me know as I'd like to give you the credit for the great idea.

Anyway, it takes two of the freshcut cards using vellum cardstock on the inside to give it the glow. I used one of the new SU incolors called Pink Pirouette along with some pieces from the Pretties Kit to finish it off. I really love how this turned out

Enjoy....Michelle

BFF and Stampin....Nothing Better

My long time friends Dianne (Hawaii) Carol (Rochester, Mi) Me (Clarkston) Marty (Rochester) and Debbie (Waterford, Mi) got together Friday nite to spend some time talking, drinking a little, eating some great PuPu (as Dianne calls appetizers) Stamp a little and did I mention Talk!!!

We try to get together at least once when Dianne returns to Michigan to get some stampin time....we had a great time

This is one of the projects that I put together for the girls. It uses Blooming Beautiful....I just love this set and the 3 x 3 cards. They did a great job water coloring
This card used the "Black Magic" technique. It was the "Fabulous Flower" set stamped in white craft on black cardstock. We then used the metalic pencils to color it in. Finished up with the white gel pen to make the colors pop. I really love this look. My friend and fellow SU demonstrator Ronnie McCollum showed me this technique
I'm very thankful for such wonder friends and for the good times we have had over the years !!!
Enjoy

Those of you that know me :o) know how unorganized I can be when playing in my craft room and I would have ribbon every where on my work surface...so my DH (Darling Husband) decided I needed a place to store my growing numbe of ribbon spools. Small Punch Flower

I cased this design for a flower card from a fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Paula Goff...Thanks Paula...while waiting for our power to come back on from the Storms. It's hard to stamp by candle light :o) believe me I've tried
I used the small oval punch to punch out the flower petals and attached them with mini glue dots to a circle for stability then added a button as a center to finish it off. I love the versatility of our punches as they can be used for so much more than their original design.
I used Pumpkin Pie as the card base and Real Red as the accent with our designer paper as one of the layers and also the flower. Hope you enjoy Michelle

Garden Roses

Well Summer has finally arrived here in Michigan and my roses are starting to bloom. After going through the storms here on Sunday, and being without power for 2 days I decided I needed to focus on some good things, other than my stampin...so my blooming roses were chosen. Hope you enjoy.

Tab Punch Flower Card

I just love our SU punches and found a great inspiration for using the tab punch as a flower petal from another Stampin' Up! demonstrator Paula Goff. I used our designer series paper to create the flower and our Rhinestone Brads to add a little "Bling" to the overall look. Great for a little pick me for for your friends and family. Hope you enjoy!! Michelle

Summer Time Treat

I just love these summer time treat cards.
I found this pattern on a blog by a very talented stamper, Patty Bennett. If you get a chance check out her site at PattyStamps.com.
These cards are quick to make and are just as luscious as the real thing to receive.
I've used Only Orange for the creamsicle and the Close to Cocoa for the fudgesicle...For a little zing I added crystal affects to both cards.
Hope you enjoy!!

Mother's Day by Ronnie

This wonderful Mother's Day card was created by my good friend Ronnie, aka Veronica's Kreations. We spent the day with my awesome UpLine Chris Kolly and created several designs that we could use for Mother's Day cards. I just love the extra bling that the glitter adds to the card. I really didn't think I needed this stamp set but I was oh so wrong!!

Wild About You

These are cards and a bag topper we put together for our demonstrator group using the Wild About You stamp set.
