Hello and Happy September to all of you. Well the grandkids are back in school and our camping is slowly winding down...Although I do love fall camping the best, perhaps a couple more times LOL. However, we did start up our normal club last Friday and I wanted to share with you the projects that we made.
The little Halloween bags were made using the "Ghoulish Googlies Designer Kit" item #126914 from the Holiday Catalog. Check these out it contains 20 printed double-sided tags; 10 glassine bags with die-cut edges; 50 adhesive-backed googly eyes and pumpkin pie/whisper white baker's twine...what a great way to whip up little goodies for the kids class mates.
The spider card was inspired from a card designed by Sandi MacIver, a talented SU demonstrator. We used Googly Ghouls #128063 and Wicked Cool #120600 stampsets and embossed the white background using the Spider Web Folder # 1200889 to give it a little place for the spiders to play on, and of course, added googly eyes for fun.
The Happy Birthday day was a mix of inspiration from fellow demonstrators Cindee Wilkinson and Carol Matthew. This was a technique called stained glass. We used vellum cardstock and white craft ink on the flowers along with white embossing power and then colored on the back side to give the stained glass effect. The Butterflies were done in the same manner only using stazon black ink and clear embossing power...I really liked how these turned out and I think the ladies did too.
The third card inspired by demonstrator Angie Juda uses Betsy's Blossoms #126006 and Curly Cute #120510 using the in-color Gumball Green (A color I just love, love, love)
Don't forget the "Back to Spool" promotion that Stampin' Up! is having for the month of September.
